Student Internships with Decision Makers / Slate Hill Major Media (possibility of school credit)

Student interns needed for all six publications (6 per pub).  You should consult with your campus adviser or guidance counselor to see if school credit is possible.  You will also be listed as a member of our Student Ambassadors Team (SAT).  Lots of online work, so interns can be based practically anywhere in world.

Student writers, columnists and bloggers needed.  Excellent way to build your skills and student portfolio.


Volunteers needed with Decision Makers / Slate Hill Major Media (possibility of community service credit and CEUs)

We will be announcing several volunteer opportunities each month.

We are looking for advisory board members, two per city (maximum of 10 board members per publication).  Primarily serves as ears and eyes for the publication and helps choose publication content.  Monthly meetings with publisher and staff via VoIP.  Serve on board for 18 month period.

Writers, columnists and bloggers needed for Decision Makers and Faces: Communication-Information.  Excellent way to build your skills, resume and volunteer portfolio.


Writing opportunities for academics with Decision Makers / Slate Hill Major Media & Journal of Unabridged Genius

First a plug for the book, Black Intellectuals, by Dr. William M. Banks (W. W. Norton & Company, 1998) since we are using his book to encourage academics and pracademics to consider contributing to our print and online publications.

Second, we encourage academics and pracademics to submit articles and essays to JUG - Journal of Unabridged Genius

Third and most specific, we encourage academics and pracademics to write guest essays and blog post for Decision Makers, often or when opportunity allows.  The two best ways to do so are: Community Conversations and simply post comments at Open Forums with Decision Makers.

We welcome contributions from academics and pracademics of all ethnicities provided they are respectful of the Russwurmian mission of Slate Hill Major Media.


Keep your resume updated with us (include specific job and publication with each inquiry)

Always keep your most recent resume on file with us.  We also welcome your most recent writing clips, photo credits and all other relevant  information that we can have to make informed decisions.  In some cases, with your permission, we will also forward your materials to other outside media outlets that might also benefit from your services.  Why do we do this?  We do this because we care to create a "best practices" climate that will bring out the very best of Russwurmian journalism.

We also welcome international inquiries (and staff) because we are both print and electronic.
