I like the website and would like to know in regards to Illinois, how are our politician viewed by the rest of the country? Also, what are thoughts on the violence that is happening in the communities thruout the city of chicago.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve the current pension issues with the State of Illinois? Our congressmen and women have not been able to submit a favorable solution to this present issue.
Food for thought - Black Republicans
Blacks overlooked the republican party when the likes of Colin Powell, Stan Scott, Bob Brown, Lou Dodd, Art Fletcher, Edward Brooke and the likes Developed 8a set asides, affirmative action and Wallace oil refinery in Tuskegee, Alabama. Under Nixon the president that we love to hate, more black businesses were developed than at any time in U.S. History. Reagan came along and turned back most of Nixon's "Black Capitalism efforts and Jimmy Carter went after "Wallace Oil Refinery" so hard the man died of a heart attack
Now we have the likes of Allen West/Florida, E.W. Jackson/ Virginia, Constance Rice at NBRA destroying what was NBRC and everyone wants to get all heated.
Chapter 2 – The Book of Love
As I look about me
I see young lives full of pain.
Stressed, so much depression,
so much loss, so little gain.
We gave improper guidance,
social BS much the same.
Yet wonder how they got that way
and play a loser’s game.
We filled their minds with urban myth
and no reality.
Without real truth to light their path
how could they really see.
That they were on a road to pain,
descending the abyss.
No caring, love and sharing, and
no warm and tender kiss.
I love who you said you were
my effort and my quest.
To show love was the only way
to gain true happiness.
But when I looked much deeper
You became somebody else
Unknown to me but also to
your friends and to yourself.
This is an attempt to show black youth what many have never seen; what was lost in recent generations, but must be reintroduced if they are to be happy and functional in relationships. Time has come for enlightened dialogue; a new agenda, but we must be open, intelligent and uplifting. Love, like knowledge has important aspects we must understand and when we are experiencing real love, we must know what it feels like, how it came to be in case we lose it, need to find it again and whether it is of value to our present and future. A wise lover learns, nurtures, encourages and refuses to lock him or herself in a paradigm, with tunnel vision that may impair future potential. Life without love is delusion and I cringe when I hear some people talk about what they expect without expressing what they bring to the table. I hear unrealistic verbiage about what is required to satisfy one’s thirst for emotional, sexual, spiritual, social and intellectual fulfillment, because most have been taught what is momentary rather than what can be prolonged as was given by god of our mother country. We must unlearn myths inspired by racist plutocrats, religious zealots and political mindbenders.
